New year beginning is the time to make merry. Lots of sprees are planned on the way. We make common, everyday life resolutions at this time. Of course, it keeps pushing us forward in life and we definitely need the motivation of determining new goals. What about the new year resolutions about celebrations? Have you ever thought that there can be few curbs to the gala time also? Well, you can help our society and the world by following some rules. Our small considerations can make a change even without giving extra time for the welfare.
We often arrange huge events like wedding ceremonies, reception, birthdays, anniversaries and so on. Festivals are also a big part of our commemoration and tradition. But we should decide to be more responsible.
Here are some ways in which we can contribute:
- Avoid the food wastage-
Lots of food is prepared during ceremonies or festivals. In big weddings or even house parties often it gets wasted. Why don’t we decide to avoid such wastage or donate it as much as possible?
- Avoid the air pollution-
Fireworks are very beautiful and mesmerizing to see. But can you imagine how much it can pollute the air we breathe? Give it a thought before using too much of fireworks this year.
- No to noise pollution-
Try not to turn on the music in loud volume. Do not disturb other’s day with your party. Make sure you are at an isolated place if you want to get funky in a bash.
- Plastic pollution-
Try not to throw plastic utensils like plates and, glasses and water bottles in public places. This small act can save a lot.
- Do not ‘Drink and drive’-
Booze is a fixed way of celebration everywhere. There are increasing accidents day by day due to a hangover. Decide this year to be safe by not drinking alcohol if you are going to drive.
